Colorful Box

This project is dedicated to creating a new office space for an emerging design company located in the iconic Seagram Building in New York. The company specializes in packaging design, and the client requested a unique design concept that showcases a rich array of colors to align with their brand identity and business needs.

The design inspiration for the project comes from the concept of “Packaging,” which is not only the core business area of the client but also serves as our starting point for design. The project extends the concept of “Packaging" into spatial design by treating the office space as a large-scale "package" and incorporating vibrant packaging styles to create a dynamic and functional work environment.

In the design process, different functional areas of the office are delineated with unique color zones, each carefully matched to its corresponding function. This color zoning approach not only enhances the visual appeal of the space but also improves work efficiency. The use of color creates distinct atmospheres for each functional area and helps visitors quickly locate their destinations through color guidance. Through extensive research and analysis, we selected colors that best represent each functional area, ensuring a blend of practicality and aesthetics in the space design.

One of the hallmark features of the Seagram Building is its glowing ceiling. Special attention was given to preserving and enhancing this architectural feature to ensure that the new office design complements the existing space. The design aims to harmonize with the architectural aesthetics and historical value of the Seagram Building while introducing modern design elements, resulting in a workspace that respects tradition while embracing innovation.
